NOTE: Speaking of tools, this program shows you how to manually develop your course from scratch using your human critical thinking and creative ability. Though you may choose to use some AI tools (like ChatGPT), and though I provide a few ideas about AI resources for course creation, the purpose of the program is to cover the fundamentals for constructing a great learning experience. Once you know the fundamentals, you’ll be better able to prompt and work with AI if you ever choose to do so.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

I'll guide you through a step-by-step process so that by the end of the program, you’ll have planned and produced a microcourse course that’s ready for launch.

In each module of the challenge, you will have tasks to complete. I’ll share information, tips, and examples, and I’ll give you worksheets and resources to help you along the way.

Module 1: The Foundation & Framework

Planning – We’ll kick off with a focus on your why and your what. In this module, you’ll decide what to focus on for your course, and you’ll use the Planning Worksheet to create the blueprint for your course.

Module 2: The Main Construction

Production – In this module, we'll focus on video & audio production. We’ll look at content types and resources to create content.

Module 3: The Finish Work

Production – In this module, the focus is still on production, but we’ll look at producing other materials besides video and audio to make your course an even better learning experience for participants.

Module 4: The Launch

Promotion – As you can see, this module is all about how to showcase your course well to your potential audience and set up your course for success.

NOTE: Previously offered as a 4-week live challenge with start and end date, this program has been made available for you to engage at your own pace with no expiration date on your access to the materials. You can follow the recommended weekly pace, speed through the sessions more quickly, or take as much time as you'd like. It's up to you!
